UPDATE: There’s vigorous debate on a number of forums about this data. See Controversy Swirls about the Assange Birth Data. I dunno, the chart rang very true. How could a chart that seemed so totally right be completely wrong?

We NEED proper steering mechanism to survive the global society we created with technology. Transparency/involvement is needed. It’s urgent, at this moment our society has an obsolete 200 years old steering mechanism. How can a few wise leaders understand these complex global issues pending ?
Would we have gone to Iraq over Weapons of mass destruction is we were part of the diplomatic cable discussion ?
Better of with more transparency ? Credit Crises / Cable gate shows governments are not so much in control of the global society. Wasn’t it work of the press to tell us the truth ?
Can the government be specific what is so threatening, because NO ONE DIED by the cables released. People did die because the same amount of money did go to Foreign Affair as to public health care.
At least the cork out of the bottle. If democracy fails, the only solution is MORE democracy!. Fill the streets and discuss where the press fails.

Hm. Sun square a rising Uranus, Pluto in the twelfth and a Leo MC, says a lot about Assange. Transiting Mercury and Pluto opposing his Saturn, and transiting Saturn itself are doing a lot of damage to his chart. It will be even worse when Uranus goes back into Aries and squares his Cancer/Cap planets.
Transiting Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are really in play in a lot of charts right now, and Assange is one of those greatly affected. For some of us, these are tough times indeed!

(Almost) always when there is a biwheel, the inner chart is the natal and the outer one is something like transits, progressions, or someone else’s chart. In this case it’s a solar arc progression on the outside. Donna

Hi, Inna, yes, Double Scorpio (or double any sign) means that two out of the three strongest factors (Sun, Moon, and Ascendant) are placed in that sign. A triple Scorpio would be someone with Sun, Moon, and Ascendant all in that sign. Donna

If the Pluto score was low and nothing much going on in the 8th, then it might be a fairly low-key Scorpio. But this guy is anything but low key. I was just reading some things about him on CNN, like he has some heavy-duty unhackable files that will be released if he is imprisoned or killed. Donna

On another brilliant astro website from Australia I read that he was a Sun Cancer and a Moon Scorp without birth time but a guess of Scorp rising.

Congrats, you got me intrigued, so I googled the guy! With that hairstyle, plus his computer science history, his “get the truth out there at any cost” attitude and his childhood (moving all the time) I’d give him Libra rising with Uranus conj. the AC. That would place his Pluto in the 12th (now facing imprisonment), his Jup.- Nept. conjunction in the 2nd (he’s created a lot of computer software distributed for free), his Saturn in the 8th (absence of father while growing up?), his Mercury in the 10th conj. MC, and his Sun conj. it too from the 9th. But maybe that’s too good to be true!

VR, I agree. I’ve thought from the beginning he was a Libra rising. And then I saw his chart and realized that would put Uranus on his ascendant. Perfect!
To me, everything – all the pieces – fall most easily into place with Libra rising. I’m still wondering why astrologers prefer scorp rising. He already has a lot of scorp, anyway. And a lot of other things seem way off with scorp rising – the moon, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, sun, etc.

It’s good to know that, Sea! Though after posting this, I got to thinking that there’s sth gemini-like about his aura! Oh, unless Interpol did get his D.o.B. wrong, which would make him a naughty Fish laughing mischievously at our assumptions!lol!
One can never know, really. And that’s exactly what still keeps me a bit skeptical towards astrology: if it really really works, why is it so hard to figure out stuff like this? Sometimes I think to myself, if someone had handed me a for some reason false B.C., would I be able to say “nope, that’s not me, that’s not my chart”, or have we conditioned our minds to perceive ourselves and our life stories in ways that are compatible with our charts?
At any rate, I’m glad we talked, this is the type of conversation I enjoy the most (this double virgo feeds on controversy!) 🙂

I like the idea of his beong a Pisces, too…. But overall, what trumps everything for me is the incredibly strong Cardinal vibe that seems expressed in just about everything about him. Cancer sun with Libra rising captures that best, for me. (as for Gemini, his venus and saturn are in that, anyway… That much makes sense, too; I dont get much more than that much of a mutable from him). But what do i know?

If that chart is wrong, I am so fooled — because the progressed charts and transits for various points in his life are so on the nose. For example in his progressed chart for his arrest, progressed mars and chiron form a yod pointing straight at the progressed midheaven, transiting saturn conjuncts uranus. (There’s also some mystic rectangle, a grand trine).
When Wikileaks was formed, transiting Pluto conjuncts the progressed ascendant, among other things.
When his son was born, transiting chiron conjuncts his progressed sun.
(I’d have to put up links so you’d get the full picture).
Don’t know how much sense that makes.
